Description
1 pkt ~ 100 seeds
From wild missouri plants
Grows best in alkaline soil
A native plant, this stinging nettle is true to its name. The older leaves can be quite painful, but when picked young and properly prepared is one of the highest protein wild forages and surprisingly delicious.
The flavor is reminiscent of broccoli but the texture is of greens. Available to harvest most of the year but especially in the spring before the garden comes in.
Also one of the best fiber plants. It makes one of the strongest cordages. Harvest cordage in late winter by separating the fibers simply by rubbing between the hands
