These seed come primarily from 1 highly productive Missouri walnut with large nuts. I filled about 5 55gal steel drums from this tree alone. This tree is in full sun at the edge of a fertilized field so this yield is somewhat expected, but nevertheless remarkable.
Walnut is one of the most expensive woods prized for it’s smooth grain and rich dark color. Definitely an underappreciated native tree
Nut quality is excellent, preferred to pecans in derby pies and not near as susceptible to squirrels as pecans.

requires stratification and alkaline or high calcium soil.
There are some restrictions on receiving walnut seeds in the United States to prevent the spread of thousand canker. This disease is not present in Missouri but care should be taken and you must check your local laws before ordering
