Corn, indian flint

This is a landrace flint corn that was acquired in Missouri sometime in the 1900s. Stalks average on the shorter side 5-7ft, often purple on the stalks and sheath leaves and the cobs are deep indigo to red with small amounts of white. A very unique corn, can produce cobs even in part shade and low fertility. Also it’s quite early and has made a crop when planted the first week of August in Ky. Our favorite for hominy
