Basil, Cinnamon

When I first grew this plant, when it germinated, there was that smell of red hot candies, as faint as can be but it was there. Once big enough to taste, I couldn’t detect it. So I’m not sure what potential it has. Certain varieties of cinnamon basil have methyl cinnamate which is chemically very similar to ethyl cinnamate found in cinnamon.

Either way, this is a distinct basil, spicy in it’s own way and productive like you would expect from a basil
