Pawpaw, select

$4.00

Selected pawpaw seed from the best performing trees at Mikulcik’s Nursery. Very good flavor on large fruit, healthy trees. They have always been very consistent and dependable from year to year

Flavor is best described as like a ripe persimmon and texture like a banana, hence the common name woods banana.

Pawpaws are the only temperate genus in an otherwise tropical family and thus produce fruit very tropical in appearance but overwinter perfectly well in our climate.

Beautiful trees could be ornamental if they weren’t coveted for their fruit.
