Carrot, danver 126

Danver 126 carrot is a classic. Better suited to heavy soils and high temperatures. It yields very well, resists splitting, stays sweet longer and stores well. Noticeably better adapted than other varieties I’ve tried

Very reliable, we’ve had these carrots overwinter with complete neglect. Often grown commercially and sold in grocery stores

Sow directly into the garden when ground has thawed. Weeding is critical the first few weeks when small. Carrots are kind of slow germinators and I’ve never had any luck sowing late because the weeds grow too fast at that point and carrots don’t really like the heat
