Chinese Quince

Psuedocydonia sinensis

The Chinese Quince is an awesome fruit tree from across the world. They are spectacular ornamentals as well.

Fruit is large very large and this picture is not representative. Usually around 2lbs, extremely hard and the flavor is, if you’ve never had it, best described as a tart apple but distinctly quince, I can’t quite describe it, floral maybe.

It’s not something you’re likely to eat fresh but it makes excellent jellies or teas and was always a favorite

The seed crop wasn’t great this year but I have a lot of shippable seedlings off a selected fireblight resistant specimen
