What an interesting plant!

The garden huckleberry has delicious elderberry or blueberry like berries. High in antioxidants

The juice is a deep vibrant purple, at low pHs it turns bright fuschia, at high ph it’ll change from green to a lovely blue. Unsurprisingly it’s a high quality natural pH indicator and I’ve known it to be used in titrations.

When ripe and cooked flavor is quite good, I’ve used it in scones instead of blueberries and I’ve considered using it’s purple qualities to make a drink like api

Raw and green it is said to be bitter and toxic.

Grow just like a pepper. Yields are excellent
